Tristan Curtis is a software engineer and IT professional based in the Tampa Bay area. As a self-taught developer, he builds custom web applications that businesses rely on for their day-to-day operations, along with SaaS platforms used by thousands of people worldwide. He is also the go-to IT resource for hundreds of small business owners, handling whatever technical issues come their way.

Radar is a social app that helps people meet others nearby in real life. Users see what's happening locally and who's going, make plans with friends, and go live to connect with people around them. Tristan designed and built the product end to end, from the iPhone app to the platform behind it, and is actively building the company and scaling the app, starting in Tampa Bay.

The software an internet provider runs on. Customers sign up, manage their account and book their own appointments online, with equipment provisioned automatically. Staff run the rest of the company from one internal application: customer records, messaging, technician scheduling, quotes, inventory and time tracking.

Built as an in-house media buying tool then turned into a SaaS product sold to other agencies. It covers media buying, CRM, tasks, invoicing and client reporting, and connects to QuickBooks, Google Ads and Meta Ads.

A multi-tenant SaaS where instructional coaches log and report on their work with school staff. It syncs with Google, Microsoft 365 and Exchange calendars and imports staff rosters automatically. In continuous development since 2019.

A SaaS CRM with a browser-based phone system. Users tracked leads, made and received calls in the browser, and automated marketing by call, text and email.
One of Tristan's own products. It redirects a domain over HTTPS: it obtains an SSL certificate through the Let's Encrypt API and sets up the web server configuration for the domain.

A SaaS platform school districts use for classroom observations: eleven observation tools, custom rubric builders, signed PDF feedback, district-wide reporting, and per-seat billing with purchase orders.
Visit site →Tristan's specialty is custom software that plugs into the systems a business already runs on: billing platforms, storefronts, carriers, phone systems, calendars and mailboxes. He builds on PHP and Laravel with MySQL behind it and Vue on the front end, and works with whatever the other side offers, from modern REST APIs and webhooks to legacy systems with no API at all.
The other half of Tristan's work is the systems side. He spent seven years on the team that ran an internet service provider's fiber and wireless network, serving more than 8,000 customers across multiple cities, along with a virtual infrastructure of hundreds of machines. Today he designs, fixes and manages networks, servers and email for businesses around the world.
